2010 Literature Prize: Now and Then

Write a poem or a short story about a person, a place, an event or an activity in the past or the present and win one of three major prizes of $500!! Total prize money available $2,600.

Now in its sixth year the award has become an important annual event and provides an opportunity for people of all ages to write creatively about their community and contribute to the recorded history of the area. Categories include an Open section, Years 8-12, 5-7 and 1-4 for both prose and poetry.

All entries are also judged for the Local History Awards which are sponsored by the National Trust and include an open and a student category.

Entries are to be received by 5.00pm Friday 28th May 2010.
